Pastors Louie & Jan Hernandez

We honor those who laid the foundation for Chosen Church!

Pastors Louie & Jan Hernandez met at Portland Bible College as students in 1974.  Pastor Louie graduated with a Bachelor of Theology in 1978, and soon after helped pioneer Eugene Christian Fellowship in Eugene, OR where he and Pastor Jan ministered as Elders, Young Adults Pastors, and Associate Pastors.  They were sent out to start a church in Gresham, OR in 1995 and established Gresham Christian Fellowship where they served as Senior Pastors for 24 years.  In 2019 they passed the leadership baton to their eldest son Isaac and his wife Kristina and the church was given the new name, Chosen Church.  They continue to serve the body of Christ from this home base, serving Senior Pastors and church leadership teams around the world.

  • Pastor Louie is a UNITED NATIONS GOODWILL AMBASSADOR for the Golden Rule Inter-faith peace building initiative.
  • 40+ years of local church ministry experience
  • Pioneered two local churches
  • Helped start four churches internationally
  • Seasoned prophetic ministry nationally and internationally in nations including Russia, Puerto Rico, Bolivia, Columbia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Cambodia, Singapore, Australia, Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana and all across the United States!
